The popular Brinsea TLC have been redesigned to offer additional features and the new top of the range Zoologica model offers integral fully automatic humidity control for complete peace of mind and better brooding of exotic birds. Not only does the new Brinsea TLC-40 Zoologica II Parrot Brooder Intensive Care Unit deliver the specialized brooding environment that exotic birds need but it can also double as a hospital cage for sick or injured birds and small mammals by providing a clean temperature-controlled environment ideal for recovery. The TLC-40 Zoologica II provides digital control and read-out of temperature as well as high and low temperature alarm including the new patented room temperature alarm. To help reduce the risk of dehydration it is equipped with a precision digital humidity control system which maintains levels set by the user to at least 65 percent RH under typical ambient conditions. The increased humidity capability is achieved with improved door fit increased evaporating surface and a tough polycarbonate door which retains its flatness under high humidity. Airflow has been carefully optimized to ensure consistent distribution of heat but with the fan maintaining gentle airspeeds so that down and dust are not blown around. The variable fan speed allows the user to reduce background noise levels still further for particularly stress-sensitive animals. With hygiene a top priority the TLC-40 Zoologica II has been carefully designed to make cleaning as easy as possible. The lower half of the cabinet and door are removable allowing them to be scrubbed and immersed. It is also easy to wipe clean the high gloss finish of the ABS plastic upper cabinet and the fan guard is simply detached to allow access to clean the fan.
