The PetDek was designed to provide pets with a better comfort alternative on the back seat of a vehicle. Pets do not necessarily like being on a soft uneven and narrow surface which often leads to their pacing. They also do not like to be at the angle created by the slope of the seat bottom which leads to clawing to prevent from sliding backwards. Fast stops may throw the loose dog into the foot well area where it struggles and claws to get out. Pet cages could be thrown and wedged in the foot well as well. PetDek was developed to solve these problems. It provides a fairly level sturdy and comfortable surface for pets whether loose or caged. The leveling blocks on the bottom raise the rear of the PetDek eliminating up to 100% of the angle depending on the particular seat. The PetDek extends over most of the foot well area and uses 2 adjustable legs to support itself. For even more comfort the pet s favorite pillow or blanket can now be used. It can carry up to 200 pounds of distributed weight. Pet cages can slide onto the seat without damage to the upholstery or strain on your part. The PetDek has an anti slide surface molded in but if more friction is desired for some reason self adhering anti slip strips may be applied to the surface. As long as they are restrained from sliding sideways other items such as picnic coolers luggage etc. can also share the space with your pet. Use and storage in the vehicle is convenient and easy. The PetDek s adjustable legs fold up and the unit then folds in half to a compact 23 x 24 x 4 in size. It then easily fits into the trunk or behind the seat. When not carrying your favorite pet the PetDek becomes the CarDek in function turning the back seat into an extra cargo area. That seat which is essentially empty most of the time now works for you.
